English and 30 more languages are built in: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. The discount name at checkout is translated too.

How it works

  1. Add languages to your store in Shopify admin → Settings → Languages and publish them.
  2. A shopper on /fr/ sees the offer box, progress bars, gift picker, countdown and checkout discount name in French.
  3. Prices follow the shopper's currency and number format ("25 %" in French).

Kitalo's standard phrases ("Buy more, save more", "Buy 3", "Spend $20.00 more for free shipping") are translated automatically. Text you wrote yourself (an offer heading such as "Summer bundle") is shown as written, unless you translate it.

Translate one offer

  1. Open the offer and scroll to Translations.
  2. Pick a Language ①. Each field shows the built-in translation as a grey placeholder.
  3. Type your own text only where you want to change it: the heading, the discount message (shown in the cart and at checkout), tier labels and badges, or the bundle and gift texts.
  4. Click Save. The language menu shows how many texts you translated, for example "French (1 translated)".

Good to know

  • Right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu) mirror the widgets' layout.
  • Labels your theme shows ("Regular price", "Sale price") come from your theme's translations, not from Kitalo.
